Mumbai Airport and its Ground Transport



Mumbai Airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which was formerly called the Sahar International Airport came into action in 1942 and today is the main international airport that serves one of the most well known cities of India, Mumbai. Ranked as the second busiest airport in India, the Mumbai Airport is also said to be the 48th busiest airport in world, as claimed by Airports Council International in 2013. The airport has 5 operating terminals, spreading oven an operational area of 1,850 acres. The Mumbai International airport has handled a record 51 movements in one hour since it came into function. The airport is also known for its well scheduled flights and timely landing and takeoffs.
